Alliance Green Services was founded in 2016 and began operations in 2017. Since 2024, AGS has been wholly owned by the ArcelorMittal group.

In 2025, AGS has expanded in the USA and now it continues to innovate and expand.

We are present in 9 countries: in France at Dunkerque and Fos-Sur-Mer, in Luxembourg at Differdange and Belval, in Belgium at Genk and Gent, in Spain at Aviles, in Poland at Dąbrowa Górnicza and Kraków, in Romania at Călărași.

In 2025, AGS continues its expansion in the USA at Calvert and Koppel, Canada at Contrecoeur and Fermont and Brazil at Vitória.

Our main activities:
• Handling, transport, and processing of steel slag from blast furnaces and steelworks to contribute to its recovery.
• Hot descaling and demolition of steelworks equipment

• Scrap metal processing cleaning (processing of E1 scrap metal and fragmented boats): this involves cleaning the raw material (poor-quality E1 scrap metal and fragmented scrap metal) to remove non-metallic impurities, sticky substances, wood, combustion and/or electric motors, and potentially dangerous objects (risk of explosion or polluting emissions).

AGS in Calvert, AL supports steel manufacturing operations by performing essential on-site services that help mills run safely, efficiently, and continuously.  From scrap handling to feed the furnace to slag processing and metal recovery.  In short, we act as an operational partner to the steel mill, providing the labor, equipment, and expertise needed to keep production efficient and continuous.
